MFMS is a student-run organization at the University of Michigan that connects the next generation of fashion and media leaders with real industry exposure and professional opportunities. As part of our annual summit on Friday, April 17, 2026, we host the Fashion Forward Showcase (FFS), which highlights and celebrates college students from any university who are building creative projects or businesses.

FFS is open to students who are creating in all kinds of ways, whether they’re developing a clothing line, growing a media platform, creating content, launching a brand, or even just sketching and experimenting with ideas. This showcase is meant to meet students wherever they are in their creative journey.

Five selected finalists will be invited to present their work at individual booths during the summit, giving them the chance to share their projects with hundreds of attendees, including industry professionals and featured speakers. At the end of the day, one finalist will be selected as the winner and receive an exclusive prize package, including a professional development experience with our presenting sponsor, Steve Madden.
