Why We Love Boxed Water

By: Pilar Burgess

Commonly described as a “sustainable water company, part philanthropic project,” Boxed Water is a revolutionary company that combines practicality with sustainability.  Founder Benjamin Gott prides himself on the transparency of his company. Boxed Water has made considerable advances in reducing their water consumption, carbon dioxide emissions and greenhouse gasses.  Their quarterly report creates a sense of trust and transparency that allows consumers to purchase their products guilt free.

It’s simple: water is good for us, plastic bottle aren’t. Boxed Water uses paper packaging and in partnership with Ocean Blue Project and National Forest Foundation, Boxed Water has created a 75% renewable resource and helped preserve the quality of beaches, oceans, and wildlife across the country.  They have invested their time and created a business strategy that improves the wellbeing of the planet and each individual living on it.

Boxed Water truly is Better and the MFMS is proud to announce our partnership with the company. Being affiliated with a company that uses a seemingly simplistic strategy to challenge their competitors and make a considerable effect on the world is an honor. The  foundation of their brand lies upon the notable innovation that is using boxes as opposed to plastic. With their simplified approach and genuine desire to do good, Boxed Water has impacted the bottling industry forever.

Just like the MFMS, Boxed Water is taking the necessary steps to create change amongst communities. At the University of Michigan, the MFMS has turned into a widely known organization, bringing together a group of creators and design enthusiasts in a way unlike ever before.  It’s the little things that count and can create a larger impact such as the one that both Boxed Water and the MFMS have had on their respective communities. With a less is more approach and the genuine desire to positively impact the lives of others, both Boxed Water and the MFMS have been able to fill voids and make positive impacts on a larger scale.

On April 12, 2019, the MFMS will put on our second summit, bringing a new line up of speakers, panelists and industry professionals.  We are eager to generate conversations amongst those who attend, sparking innovative ideas and expanding upon the community we have formed. You will not want to miss out on this experience and we cannot wait to see you there!
